Different Details was founded in 2019 in Toledo, Ohio, with a simple vision and mission: to deliver a higher standard of auto detailing built on passion, precision and purpose.
Hello! My name is Ron Durbin, and I’m the owner/operator of Different Details & Ceramic Coatings.
I live in Toledo with my wife Michele and our four children. I’m committed to serving our local community through detailing that provides a level of care & customer service that’s becoming harder to find these days.
Detailing isn’t just a job for me; it’s been my passion for over 30 years!
It all started with my first car, a 1978 Dodge Challenger, which I loved to detail as a teenager. My passion grew when I became part of the original team at the first Lexus dealership in Toledo. Working in the detailing department at that time was an incredible experience that helped honed my skills and planted a seed for what would eventually become Different Details years later.
After years of learning, refining, and building on that vision, I’m grateful to now bring it to life through a business centered on
craftsmanship, commitment, and consistency.

What I love most about detailing and ceramic coatings is that it requires more than just skill; it requires the right mindset!
You must truly care about the process, value precision, and take pride in doing things the right way, not the quick and easy way, and certainly without cutting corners. At Different Details, I focus on both the art and science behind detailing.
I carefully evaluate each vehicle, enjoy solving problems, and apply proven methods with premium products to achieve the best possible results.
This isn’t a volume shop
Every vehicle is treated with intention & thoroughness because I believe that’s what great results demand.

More Than Just a Business
Different Details was also created to support what matters most to me, my family, my faith, and the opportunity to invest in others.
Besides running the business, I coach girls'varsity basketball at Toledo Christian High School. Coaching has been one of my great passions in life, and I’m entering my 10th year with the program.
In 2023, our team made an incredible run to the state championship game, finishing as Division IV State Runner-Up (we lost 52-50) with a 25-5 record. Balancing business ownership with coaching is something I cherish,
and it’s a significant part of why Different Details exists.

The name reflects my belief from day one on what I wanted to create. I wanted to build a detailing business grounded in providing a service experience that felt truly different from start to finish.
I aim to foster lasting relationships with every client while never overlooking the transformative power and meaning that each vehicle receives, that things can be restored and renewed.
